We are a competitive activity that involves the performance of both music and visual effects. Technically, we are a marching band, but in reality we are so much more, probably best described as an experience of a lifetime.

At The Downsmen you will learn about music and marching and also about self- discipline. You will learn how, hard work as part of a team, can lead to undeniable satisfaction; you will make friendships that will last a lifetime; you will travel and get to see other parts of the UK and abroad. In short, you will have the time of your life!

We always welcome new members to both are Brass and Percussion sections. So if you’re aged between 9 and 25 and fancy a new challenge come and join our team. No previous musical experience necessary, we will teach you all you need to know!
